Agua de Jamaica
2 cups of Jamaica petals (dried hibiscus flower)
2 cups sugar
1 1/4 qts. of boiling water
Bring water to a boil.
Pour over hibiscus petals and let steep for about an hour (no more than 2).
Drain liquid from dried petals add sugar and 2 cups of water.
Set to side (we will add this to our punch later and the remainder we can use over ice as a non alcoholic drink).
3/4 cups fresh lime
1 cup of Cointreau
2 cups of silver Tequila
2 cups Jamaica juice
1 cup of super fine sugar
In a pitcher mix up all the ingredients.
Stir and put in fridge until ready to use.
When you are ready to serve put in a shaker with ice.
Shake and strain, pouring into pre chilled martini glass.
Garnish with spicy chili powder, thinly sliced cucumber and a couple of hibiscus petals.
