Pan Dulce

1/2 cup buttermilk, lukewarm (Or regular milk)
2 teaspoons active dry yeast
4 Cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons butter, softened
4 large eggs, beaten
oil, for greasing

For topping:
6 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup of sugar
1 egg yolk
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup all purpose flour

Pour buttermilk or regular milk into a small bowl
Stir in dried yeast
Set in a warm place until frothy (about 30 min. to an hour)
In another bowl, put in flour and sugar
Add butter and beaten eggsBack to Postres
Add milk and yeast combo
mix into a soft and sticky dough
Place the dough on a lightly floured surface
slightly start kneading with a little flour at a time
turn the dough over and over until it is completely covered in a light coating of flour
Cover with a lightly oiled plastic wrap
Let rest for about 20 minutes

Meanwhile make the topping:
Cream the butter and sugar in a bowl
Mix in the egg yolk, cinnamon and flour
The mixture should have a slightly crumbly texture

Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces
Shape each into a round ball
Place onto a well greased cookie sheet ( baking sheet), well apart
Sprinkle the topping equally over the breads
Then press it lightly into the surface
Set the rolls in a warm place to stand for about 30 minutes or until they are about one-and-a half times their previous size
Pre-heat the oven to 400º and bake the breads for about 15 minutes
Let cool slightly before serving
